Atlantic Technological University (ATU) is a technological university in the west and north-west of Ireland. On April 1, 2022, the three existing technical institutes of Galway-Mayo IT, IT Sligo, and Letterkenny IT were merged and officially incorporated into one university. The university was founded with the aim of providing students with a world-class education that prepares them for success in today's rapidly changing global marketplace.
Atlantic TU is also one of the largest multi-campus universities on the island, serving a diverse set of learners, staff, communities, and organizations both within and outside the region. Atlantic TU students will join a student body of more than 20,000 learners, spanning more than 600 academic programs, from undergraduate to doctoral level. ATU's strength lies in its collaborative spirit of achieving common goals by enhancing and fostering success.
